Howdy! Just so you know, your peeps read your blog. Who knew you where a closet country fan? Be not ashamed. Embrace your new found love. Having grown up with a country music fan, I bet you didn't know Dottie was a HUGE country music fan; I have a healthy respect for those things “country.” Not to mention my transplanted brother who now speaks with a Wisconsin accent although I’m sure if you get him angry a little New York will slip in there. As long as you don’t go all Little House on the Prairie on me I won’t be afraid to visit. Sounds like you are sending out some roots in your adopted home.

And, thank you for the hilarious b-day card. I managed to accomplish the three elements of the perfect birthday. Number two was a shoe-in.

I would have to guess that you never went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory in Tillamook, Oregon. When we toured it they had cheese curds all over the place. They were squeaky and tasty.

Now you need to get into cow bingo. The grid off a pasture and then you place a wager on which square the cow will do their business. A great fundraiser.

It makes you realize how much electricity a refrigerator uses. It is amazing. Are you sure that it isn't an overlap from the time you were still in the apartment?

Glad you made it in one piece. Hopefully you will grow to love the midwest as I have. It takes a while to get used to the winters but, safely tucked in a warm car or a warm house or office is so much nicer than trudging around in the snow and slush up to your ankles. Remember than fun adventure? Welcome to the midwest! If you don't like the weather wait 2 months, it will be totally different!

That must just be unbearable. In my first winter in northern Idaho at the University of Idaho, I was taking finals and the wind chill was 50 degrees below zero. That is cold, unbearably cold!

Just wait to see how all the fans do tomorrow at the Packers game when they are outside in the cold for four hours. Hopefully they have heated socks and individual heaters stuffed everywhere.

Hopefully your engine block doesn't freeze.
